3D Printed forms

As an aspect of my designs, i would like to make a feature of the digital process, but also the making potentials that only can only be produced using 3D printing and modelling.

My design would be to produce a bronze fluid or organic shape that would integrate into the ceramic form. I wouldn’t want a clear line or border between the two materials and i would blur the boundaries with colour and texture. The bronze aspect would reveal itself as it lifts way from the main body of the object and how i polish back areas to reveal its shine again the matte black.

I made these shapes through a mixture of lofting, revolving and distorting shapes that would wrap around a cylinder as a starting point. The bottom image also shows the result of surface wrapping around a organic form.
